Job summary

The Kenific Group in Tampa, FL is seeking a full-time Human Resource Generalist to support a high-volume call center. The HR Generalist partners with local management, guiding HR strategy and daily operations with integrity and focus on the company’s principles.

Key responsibilities include policy guidance, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance with employment laws. Experience in government contracting or call centers is highly preferred; Spanish language ability is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 3–5 years of HR experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • PHR or SPHR or similar certification desired.
  • Experience in government contracting and/or call centers is highly desirable.
  • Spanish language ability is highly desirable.

  • Maintain records for hiring, termination, leave, and promotions with EEO/diversity focus.

Job description

Position Summary

KGCCO is seeking a full-time, experienced Human Resource Generalist to support a high-volume call center in Tampa, FL. The HR Generalist acts as a business partner by implementing Company's HR strategy and providing daily HR guidance, tools, and support to local management teams. This position represents the overall HR function with the highest level of integrity, sharing the Company's vision and operating principles.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Responsible for providing human resources support, including but not limited to company policies, recruiting, onboarding, providing employment law expertise, and solving employee relations problems such as investigations, mediations, progressive discipline, employment terminations, etc.
  • Serves as the initial contact and liaison for intake and assessment of employee complaints.
  • Assists with recordkeeping related to hiring, termination, leave, transfer, and promotion, particularly regarding Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), affirmative action, and diversity initiatives.
  • Maintains knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations related to EEO, affirmative action, and human resources.
  • Tracks performance ratings and compiles HR-related statistics for assigned group(s).
  • Updates employee records with changes and/or corrections in employment status, including salary, position information, scheduled hours, and personal information.
  • Assists hiring managers in choosing appropriate company jobs to best suit business needs; drafts or edits new job descriptions as the need arises.
  • Collaborates with Recruiting team throughout the recruitment process; serves as an intermediary between Recruiting and hiring manager.
  • Communicates effectively with other HR teams and departments as necessary.
  • Must be able to effectively recommend opportunities for continuous improvement to current processes and procedures.
  • Assures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work with and support employees of all levels.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the HR team.
Skills/Qualifications
  • Experience working with and knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence people at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven problem-solving and process improvement skills and experience with data analytics.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while exceeding established goals and objectives.
  • Proficient in HRIS and ATS platforms, particularly iSolved.
  • Able to interact effectively with internal and external customers in various positions.
  • Strong work ethic and sense of urgency with a customer service-focused mindset.
  • Ability to pass contract-mandated background check.
Education/Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field required; equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of related professional HR experience required.
  • Proficient and confident in Microsoft Office suite, including high-level competency in Excel.
  • PHR or SPHR or similar certification desired.
  • Experience working in a federal government contracting environment and/or a call center is highly desired.
  • Fluency in Spanish is highly desired.

  • Onsite position in Tampa, FL.
