Qualifications

  • Experience in corporate/manufacturing/hybrid environments.

About the Role:

The HR Generalist will support the Human Resources function for Chicken of the Sea's Ambient Business, providing HR support to both corporate employees and the Manufacturing Plant facility. Working closely with the Director, HR COSI, this role will assist in implementing HR programs and initiatives that support business objectives and employee engagement. The HR Generalist will help administer and coordinate a wide range of HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training, and compliance.

Responsibilities:
  • Support recruiting and hiring activities, including candidate screening, interview coordination, and onboarding.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a positive employee experience.
  • Assist with performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and employee development activities.
  • Support employee relations matters by responding to employee questions and escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Assist with talent development programs and training initiatives.
  • Support budget preparation, compensation cycles (increases and bonus) and benefits administration processes.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure HRIS data accuracy.
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives, wellness programs, and employee surveys.
  • Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations and company policies.
  • Support safety initiatives and programs in partnership with site leadership.
  • Assist with HR reporting and maintaining HR metrics.
  • Coordinate HR communications and provide general administrative support for HR programs and processes.
  • Partner with managers and employees to provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 5-7 years of Human Resources experience.
  • Experience supporting recruiting, employee relations, onboarding, and general HR programs.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience working in a corporate, manufacturing, or hybrid environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with payroll and benefits processes.
  • Strong administrative, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office, HRIS platforms, and web-based systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel domestically on an occasional basis.

Physical Demands

While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, communicate, usually through talking, hearing, writing and typing. Employees should be able to operate standard office equipment, i.e., telephones, computers, facsimile and copier. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk, and move or lift to 35 lbs. The employee regularly works in a well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with a moderate degree of noise.
