Job description

Colorado State University is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to provide essential HR services and support to the Warner College of Natural Resources. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, a commitment to internal customer service, and exceptional interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Talent acquisition, onboarding, employee life cycle management, performance management, and training and development
  • Records management, leave administration, systems data entry, processing, tracking and maintenance of personnel information, and electronic archiving
  • Providing accurate and timely information and responses to HR related questions while ensuring confidentiality
Required Qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s degree in business management/administration, human resources, or closely related field
  • Minimum three years of experience in human resources, talent management, and/or recruiting as a primary responsibility
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong ability to work collaboratively within a team, while also demonstrating initiative and the capacity to work independently
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in human resources, business management/administration, organizational development, or closely related field
  • Professional HR related certification such as PHR / SHRM -CP
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with proven experience managing multiple projects and balancing competing priorities efficiently
