Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an HR Generalist/Recruiter to coordinate recruitment across departments, craft precise job descriptions, and implement effective hiring methods. The role involves interview coordination, salary negotiation support, onboarding, and ensuring legal and policy compliance.

You will also represent the company at college career fairs, provide benefits guidance, and maintain HR records while collaborating with other HR Generalists in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management with an HR focus.
• 2+ years of recruiting or HR Generalist experience.
• Knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with a results-oriented approach.
• Problem diagnosis and solution implementation.
• Aptitude for using qualitative and quantitative data to drive decisions.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Bias for action, strong work ethic and dedication to excellence.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with internet sourcing techniques and platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced recruiting environment.
• Willingness to travel less than 10% and occasional overtime.
• Familiarity with iCIMS or Cornerstone systems.
• HR certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP).

This position offers a hybrid schedule, with 3 office days per week and the remainder remote/virtual.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management with a focus on Human Resources or a related field
• 2+ years of experience as a recruiter or HR Generalist
• Knowledge of labor laws and regulations

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced recruiting environment
• Willingness to travel (less than 10%) and occasionally work overtime

Desirable Qualifications

• Prior experience as an HR Generalist with a consulting, professional services, architecture/engineering firm, or staffing agency
• Familiarity with iCIMS or Cornerstone systems
• HR certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)

Compensation Range
