Howmet Aerospace Inc. is seeking an HR Generalist at its Dover, New Jersey casting facility. The role supports HR operations for ~900 non‑union employees across multiple shifts, covering recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance and performance management.

Anticipated pay range is $80k-$100k per year with a competitive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k) matching and more. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years HR/recruiting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment and onboarding, posting openings and coordinating interviews.

JOB SUMMARY

Under the guidance of the Sr. HR Manager, this position provides HR operational support for multishift manufacturing group of approximately 900 non-union employees. The Human Resources Generalist manages and supports a broad range of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and performance management, ensuring smooth HR operations across the organization.

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Expected to assist in the implementation of Howmet Aerospace’s value and policy statement and its accompanying principles;
• Comply with all departments, facility, Corporate and Regulatory EH&S regulations;
• Wear all required personal protective equipment;
• Report all job-related illnesses and injuries. (Per employee handbook);
• Report all Safety, Health & Environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner;
• Attend all EH&S training.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Recruitment and Onboarding: Drafting job descriptions, posting openings, conducting interviews, and facilitating new employee onboarding.
• Manages the HRIS System including processing onboarding for new hires, promotions, terminations
• Employee Relations – Addressing employee concerns, mediating conflicts, supporting managers with performance improvement plans, and maintaining a positive workplace culture
• Prepares and extends offer letters for all non-agency hires
• Maintains list of sign on bonuses and payment date
• Manage and participate in job/career fairs including college recruitment efforts
• Assists employees applying for all internal job postings
• Support all other HR initiatives as needed
• Perform other assignments as required

Apprentice Program

• External – Lead external apprentice program & Interns.
• Internal – Develop internal apprentice program focused on (Machinists, Mechanics/Electricians, Automation Techs and Engineering Techs)

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of 3-5years of Human Resources/recruiting experience.

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, psychology, or a related field;

Excellent computer skills – MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

PHR, SPHR & Masters are a plus;

Human Resources Generalist experience in a Manufacturing environment.

Strong ability to multi-task and connect at all levels in the organization

Proficiency with HR software platforms such as Excel, Oracle, HRIS
