The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting the full employee lifecycle, including full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, employee communications, and HR operations. This role partners closely with leadership and employees to deliver a seamless HR experience while ensuring compliance with employment and labor laws and company policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

TALENT ACQUISITION
  • Assist in developing and implementing effective recruitment plans to meet the organization's hiring needs.
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned roles, including posting positions, sourcing candidates, coordinating interviews, and supporting hiring managers through selection decisions.
  • Create and update job descriptions, including but not limited to: researching relevant position descriptions online, meeting with supervisors and/or employees to clarify job duties, including physical demands, and ensuring the job description meets SQF requirements.
  • Analyze recruitment metrics by tracking and analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and optimize the hiring process, maintaining the FY recruiting report weekly.
  • Stay informed on industry trends to guide and enhance recruitment strategies.
SOURCING, SCREENING, AND SELECTION
  • Build a candidate pipeline by creating and maintaining a database of qualified candidates for future opportunities.
  • Sourcing candidates by identifying and attracting potential candidates through various channels, such as job boards, social media, networking events, and employee referrals.
  • Screening resumes and applications to identify candidates who meet the minimum requirements.
  • Conduct phone screens and in-person interviews to assess candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Evaluate candidates using various assessment methods to evaluate their suitability for the role.
  • Make recommendations to hiring managers on which candidates to move forward with.
  • Engage potential candidates by building relationships and maintaining communication throughout the recruitment process to ensure goals are achieved.
EMPLOYER BRANDING & RELATIONSHIP BUILDING
  • Promoting the company's employer brand and values by representing Jel Sert positively to attract top talent.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with hiring managers by fostering strong communication and collaboration throughout the recruitment process.
  • Champion the employer brand and organizational values, collaborating with the communications team to ensure corporate messaging is current, compelling, and effectively conveys our story to prospective candidates.
  • Receive and provide timely feedback to candidates and hiring managers, ensuring transparency and a positive candidate experience.
  • Host hiring events with agencies and/or potential candidates to increase awareness of our opportunities.
ONBOARDING AND BEYOND
  • Extend offers to selected candidates within the established budget and in line with the hiring manager's recommendations.
  • Ensure a smooth, efficient onboarding process by following established procedures.
  • Maintain relationships with candidates by staying in touch between the offer and start dates, and with those not selected for the role, keeping them engaged for potential future opportunities.
  • Ensuring legal compliance by adhering to all relevant employment laws and regulations throughout the recruiting process.
  • Work with the team to develop a compelling employee value proposition to retain employees at Jel Sert.
  • Promote transparent communication at all levels to build mutual respect and trust across the organization\
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitor and review the recruiting budget to ensure all expenditures remain within established financial parameters.
  • Complete required government reporting, including EE0-1, Vets 4212, and the monthly DOL Job Openings and Labor Turnover reports.
  • Assist with annual Social & Ethical Compliance audits as necessary.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development and stay current with industry best practices, innovations, and changes within the federal, state, and local employment and labor laws.
  • Complete administrative responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the individual must maintain confidentiality and satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

EDUCATION and/or WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of 2+ years of Human Resources experience within the Talent Acquisition space required.
  • Previous experience with an HRIS, ATS, and other recruiting resources required
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Organizational Leadership, and Business Management, or related field, OR certified as a PHR/SPHR professional required.

SALARY & BENEFITS

Jel Sert Company is committed to pay transparency and will provide further compensation information during the interview process. Theminimumcompensation for the Human Resources Generalist is $61,082 annually. Compensation is determined by a candidate's experience, education, skills, training, and the internal equity within our organization. Actual compensation to be paid will be determined upon an offer. In addition to a competitive compensation package, regular full-time corporate employees of Jel Sert are eligible for our extensive benefits programs that can be reviewedhere.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Office environment with occasional exposure to the manufacturing plant and/or distribution centers. This position may operate on a hybrid schedule of two days per week, upon successful completion of training and management approval.
