Job description

The HR Engagement Coordinator contributes to the smooth and employee-focused work of the People Operations team, focusing on time, labor, absence management, benefits, payroll, and maintaining employee information in the HRIS (Oracle HCM). They provide direct customer and operational support to ensure prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable service to all customers.

This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position with a hiring range of $20.57-$25.72 per hour.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as the first point of contact for the department, responding to inquiries from customers and directing inquiries to the appropriate resources/channels.
  2. Coordinate the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation to HR resources and timely collection of HR paperwork and personal information.
  3. Provide Oracle HCM training and support to employees, including new employee orientations, answering routine questions, and initiating business processes.
  4. Assist the People Operations Manager in ensuring employee inquiries are attended to promptly, including monitoring the ticketing system, assigning tickets, and following up.
  5. Manage HR student employees, including hiring, scheduling, training, and supervision.
  6. Assist with mass communication of HR initiatives and campus-wide processes such as payroll and tax forms.
  7. Support team projects, including process improvements and data clean-up.
  8. Qualifications include an Associate’s degree in Human Resources, office management, or a related field, with an interest in gaining broad HR experience.
  9. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex tasks and projects.
  10. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality.
  11. A welcoming, professional demeanor to support and assist customers effectively.
  12. Experience with cloud-based HR systems like Oracle or Workday is desirable.
  13. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with office procedures and equipment.
  14. Passion for learning and taking on new challenges in a dynamic environment.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

General office environment with extensive computer work. Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
