Job summary

Willow Ridge Rehabilitation & Living Center is seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to join our leadership team. Willow Ridge Rehabilitation & Living Center is seeking an experienced, motivated, and people-focused Human Resources Director to join our leadership team.

Position Overview

The Human Resources Director is responsible for overseeing day-to-day human resources operations for the facility, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, training, employee engagement, and retention.

Working closely with facility leadership, the HR Director serves as a trusted resource for employees and managers while helping maintain a positive, professional, and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and retention efforts for nursing and non-nursing positions

• Partner with department leaders to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies

• Coordinate new-hire orientation and support a positive onboarding experience

• Manage employee relations matters, including coaching, investigations, corrective action, and workplace concerns

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, policies, and HR best practices

• Support benefits administration, payroll coordination, workers' compensation, and leave management

• Maintain accurate employee files, documentation, and HRIS records

• Support employee engagement, recognition, retention, and professional development initiatives

• Assist leadership with workforce planning and succession planning

• Coordinate employee training and ongoing education requirements

• Help plan employee appreciation activities and facility events that strengthen workplace culture

• Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, communication, and respect throughout the facility

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience

• Healthcare, skilled nursing, or long-term care HR experience strongly preferred

• Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance, employee relations, and HR best practices

• Experience with recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and retention strategies

• Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion

• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred but not required
