Central Connecticut Dermatology is a growing dermatology practice with six Connecticut locations, seeking an experienced HR Director to lead people practices and partner with leadership. This on-site role requires strong communication and strategic-ops balance across multiple offices.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years HR generalist experience, healthcare exposure, CT employment knowledge, and proven ability to drive organizational development while delivering excellent service to employees.

Central Connecticut Dermatology is a dynamic and expanding dermatology practice, proudly serving the community through six locations (Cromwell, Southington, Farmington, Avon, Bloomfield and South Windsor) and employing over 100 dedicated professionals. Our practice is growing rapidly and we are seeking a proactive and experienced Human Resources (HR) Director to join our expanding team.

What We’re Seeking:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Human Resources professional to play a key role in supporting our continued growth and success. The HR Director will lead and strengthen our people practices across the practice, serving as a trusted partner to leadership while providing exceptional support to employees.

The ideal candidate is a relationship-focused HR professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys balancing strategic initiatives with day-to-day operations. This individual is an effective communicator, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities while fostering a positive workplace culture and delivering outstanding service across the organization.

Location:

This is a full-time, exempt, on-site position based in Central Connecticut. Regular travel to all six office locations (Cromwell, Southington, Farmington, Avon, Bloomfield, and South Windsor) is an essential part of the role. The successful candidate must have reliable transportation and be able to travel independently between office locations as practice needs require. Remote or hybrid work is not available.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding employees across multiple office locations.
• Oversee the day-to-day administration of Human Resources, including payroll, benefits, HR policies, and employee records.
• Serve as the primary resource for employee relations matters, including performance management, leave administration, workers' compensation, investigations, conflict resolution, and separations.
• Maintain and enhance core HR programs and documentation, including the Employee Handbook, job descriptions, performance management processes, and compensation programs.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations while helping minimize organizational risk.
• Partner with operations managers and leadership to identify training needs and coordinate learning and development initiatives that support employee growth and organizational success.
• Collaborate with the leadership team on strategic HR initiatives, workforce planning, and organizational development.
• Build strong relationships with employees across all office locations by maintaining a visible HR presence, providing guidance and support, and fostering a positive, engaged workplace culture.
• Support organizational change initiatives and help drive continuous improvement in HR processes and employee experience.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
• Report directly to the Physician Partners.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive Human Resources generalist experience, preferably within a healthcare environment and with knowledge of Connecticut employment practices.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and the ability to travel regularly between multiple office locations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and HRIS/payroll systems.
• Experience using LinkedIn and other social media platforms as recruiting tools.

• Strong knowledge of Human Resources principles, practices, and employment laws.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively with employees and leaders at all levels.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical practices, confidentiality, and delivering exceptional service.
• A continuous improvement mindset with an interest in leveraging technology to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
