Job summary

The City of Columbia, MO is seeking a strategic Human Resources Director to lead HR operations, total rewards, and workforce development. • Residency within City limits is preferred, but not required.
• Position open until filled, with a preferred deadline of Oct. 30, 2026.

Labor Relations and EEO:Serves as EEO officer; oversees complex employee investigations, grievances, and complaints; serves as a key member of the City’s labor negotiating team.

Self-Funded Health Plan Administration:Exercises oversight over the self-funded health plan.

Talent Acquisition and Compensation:Directs citywide workforce selection and hiring processes, retention strategies, classification and pay plan, market analyses and total rewards programs.
