Qualifications

  • Prior experience in higher education or HR admin is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn Global HR Administration processes (H1B, F-1 visas) and student talent acquisition administration.

Responsibilities

  • Review and coordinate hiring requests from unit management.
  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation activities; may assist with recruitment and selection.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding Institute and departmental HR policies and procedures; make referrals when appropriate.
  • Review and revise unit-level HR processes as appropriate.
  • Maintain employees' records including salary, job changes, and terminations.

Job Summary

The Human Resource Coordinator will perform administrative tasks and provide services to support the effective operations of the organization's HR department.

Responsibilities
  • Review and coordinate process of hiring requests from unit management.
  • Coordinate activities associated with employee on-boarding and orientation; May assist with recruitment efforts and selection process.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding Institute and departmental HR policies and procedures; make referrals when appropriate.
  • Review and recommend revision to unit level HR processes as appropriate.
  • Maintain employees' record maintenance and transactions including salary, job, termination and other related changes.
  • Gather and coordinate dissemination of information regarding new or Title Job Duties/Responsibilities revised HR related policies and procedures within unit.
  • Initiate and/or process HR-related documentation (hiring packages, posting requests, schedules and reports, etc.)
  • Serve as a unit-level contact for HR-related processes and procedures.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Educational Requirements: High school diploma, GED, or vocational training
  • Required Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred Education: Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Preferred Experience: Previous Higher Education Experience.
  • Prior experience or a willingness to learn Global HR Administration (H1B Visas, F-1 Visas, etc.).
  • Prior experience or a willingness to learn student talent acquisition administration.
  • Prior experience or a willingness to learn ADA administration.
