Town of Winter Park is seeking an HR Coordinator to support recruitment, onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, training coordination, and engagement initiatives. You will work closely with the Assistant Town Manager and all departments to promote compliant, efficient HR operations and excellent customer service to Town staff.

Under the direction of the Assistant Town Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator supports the Town of Winter Park in the administration and coordination of human resources functions. This role supports recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, training coordination, and employee engagement initiatives. The position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and efficient HR operations while delivering excellent customer service to Town employees.

This position works under the close supervision of the Assistant Town Manager and has no formal, direct supervisory responsibility.
Strong organizational and time management skills; attention to detail and accuracy; ability to maintain confidentiality; strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office; knowledge of HR principles and employment law preferred.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred. Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of administrative or HR-related experience; municipal experience preferred. Certifications: SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
Work is primarily performed in an office environment with occasional interaction with various Town departments. Regular use of computers and office equipment is required.
The position requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, and use of hands and vision. Occasional climbing, bending, and lifting (up to 25 pounds) may be required. Site visits may include exposure to construction zones, equipment, and environmental conditions.
