POSITION SUMMARY
Vertiv is seeking an experienced and collaborative Human Resources Business Partner to join our team in Anderson, SC. In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner to business leaders, providing guidance and support across all areas of human resources. The HRBP will balance business objectives with employee advocacy to drive organizational performance, employee engagement, and a high-performance culture.
This position requires strong employee relations expertise, sound judgment, problem-solving skills, conflict resolution capabilities, and the ability to coach leaders through complex workforce matters. The HRBP will partner closely with site and functional leadership to support talent development, workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, change management, and employee engagement initiatives. The successful candidate will promote Vertiv's values and behaviors while delivering practical HR solutions that support business goals and enhance the employee experience
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with manufacturing leadership to provide strategic HR guidance, employee relations support, and coaching that improves workforce effectiveness and business performance.
- Lead complex employee relations investigations, conflict resolution efforts, and corrective action processes while ensuring consistent application of company policies and employment practices.
- Drive onboarding and integration activities to ensure a positive, consistent experience for new employees and accelerate productivity and retention.
- Partner with business leaders and Learning & Development to identify organizational capability gaps and implement development solutions that support business objectives.
- Coach leaders on performance management, employee development, succession planning, workforce planning, and talent optimization strategies.
- Develop and implement employee engagement, communication, and recognition initiatives that strengthen culture, improve retention, and reinforce organizational values.
- Provide recommendations and support for promotions, organizational changes, transfers, workforce restructures, and compensation decisions through data-driven analysis and market benchmarking.
- Analyze workforce metrics and trends to identify opportunities and develop action plans related to attrition, retention, talent development, attendance, and employee engagement.
- Facilitate performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, performance improvement plans, and leadership accountability initiatives.
- Educate leaders and employees on compensation programs, incentive plans, HR policies, and employment practices to ensure consistency and understanding across the organization.
- Maintain visibility across shifts and departments to ensure accessibility to employees, promote positive employee relations, and proactively address workforce concerns.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and HR procedures while supporting a culture of safety, accountability, and respect.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience in Human Resources with previous exposure to manufacturing environments
- Proficient in applicable federal, state and local labor laws
- Must be proficient in MS word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook
- Should have a thorough understanding of human resources principles.
- Required work in an office environment, including extensive computer and telephone use.
- Must be able to clearly communicate with employees and applicants, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods while working at a computer and conducting meetings.
- Ability to move throughout office and manufacturing environments, including walking production floors and navigating stairs as needed.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, managers, and leadership in individual and group settings.
- Occasionally lift and carry materials weighing up to 15 pounds.
ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
- Work is performed in both office and manufacturing environments.
- Regular exposure to a production setting that may include noise, moving equipment, temperature variations, and other industrial conditions.
- Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) when entering designated manufacturing areas.
- Frequent interaction with employees across all shifts and departments.
