Job summary

Vertiv is seeking an entry-level HR Business Partner to support the ER&D Americas region. You will partner with engineering managers and employees across multiple business units, delivering day-to-day HR support, employee relations guidance, and coaching to ensure consistent HR processes.

You will also help with performance cycles, job descriptions, merit planning, and training while upholding Vertiv’s core principles in a fast-growing engineering environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a generalist or HRBP support capacity
  • Foundational knowledge of employee relations, employment law, and core HR processes
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations matters across respected client groups, triaging and resolving issues with appropriate escalation
  • Provide day-to-day coaching and guidance to engineering managers on people management topics including conflict resolution, performance concerns, team dynamics, and policy interpretation
  • Support investigations and documentation of ER cases in partnership with senior HRBPs and HR leadership
  • Partner with hiring managers and talent acquisition to develop and refine job descriptions that accurately reflect role requirements, leveling, and competencies
  • Coordinate new hire offer alignment, ensuring internal equity and consistency with compensation guidelines and leveling frameworks
  • Coordinate the annual and mid-year performance management cycle
  • Assist managers with Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) development, documentation, and follow-up cadence
  • Track and report on performance management completion and outcomes
  • Support the annual merit planning process by preparing data, coordinating manager submissions, and ensuring alignment with budget and guidelines
  • Assist with benchmarking analysis and recommendations for promotions, transfers, and market adjustments
  • Partner with managers and talent management to identify development needs and coordinate individual or team-level learning solutions
  • Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and communication efforts that reinforce Vertiv’s culture and values
  • Assist with organizational changes including restructures, role changes, and workforce planning inputs
  • Ensure compliance with regional employment laws, company policies, and HR processes
  • Participate in HR projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned
