Job description

The HR Business Partner l position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. This person must be bilingual - English/Spanish.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides customer service support to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests, including training and interpretation of HR procedures and policies
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Interface effectively with managers and supervisors on their departmental staffing needs and has responsibilities for the recruiting efforts for assigned open positions. Conduct new employee onboarding process.
  • Employee Relations: Assist with coaching department managers and supervisors on employee relation issues to ensure all employees receive fair and equitable treatment. Assists in disciplinary action of employees
  • Responsible for temporary employee maintenance
  • Learning Development: Assist with the organization and execution of training and learning initiatives.
  • Leaves of Absences: Track and manage all leaves, including monitoring start and expected return dates, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring employees do not exceed allotted leave entitlements in compliance with company policy and applicable laws.
  • HRIS / HR Compliance: Maintain all HR systems with timely and accurate updates. Maintain employee personnel files, I-9 documentation, training records, etc. Ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures and proactive at 100% compliance to promote an ethical and compliant environment.
  • Facilitate planning and execution of special events such as open enrollment, benefit programs, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, employee engagement events, and anniversary celebrations.
  • Participates in special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree, Human Resources or a related field preferred
  • PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years HR experience

Physical Requirements
  • This position is mainly sedentary; therefore, required to sit
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk throughout the facility
  • Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or move up to 25 poundsOccasionally will need to bend, stoop and squat
