Human Resources Business Partner – Position Description

The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for managing various aspects of human resources within DrinkPAK. They provide support and guidance to employees and management on HR policies, procedures, and practices, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, handling employee relations issues, administering employee benefits, assisting in training and development initiatives, and maintaining the integrity of Workday.

On‑site at DrinkPAK's facility in Santa Clarita, California.

Base Salary Compensation Range

$90,000 – $110,000

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and conflicts, providing guidance and resolutions.
  • Investigate and address employee complaints, ensuring fair and consistent treatment.
  • Independently manage employee relations issues from investigations, corrective actions, Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), etc. in accordance with DrinkPAK’s processes.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on performance‑related matters.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training sessions on topics such as incident reporting, time & attendance, leadership, and compliance.
  • Facilitate career development initiatives and succession planning processes.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Stay up to date with employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Participate in the design, implementation and monitoring of programs to develop the human resources function.
  • Provide site‑wide policy rollout and refresher training, as needed.
  • Assist with the optimization of Workday.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including personal information, employment agreements, and performance evaluations.
  • Generate reports and analyze HR data to provide insights and support decision‑making processes.
  • Develop and implement employee engagement programs and initiatives.
  • Partner with leaders on development and training needs for departments.
  • Maintain positive relationships with all levels of the organization.
  • Accomplish special projects and other assignments/duties as needed in partnership with HRD.
  • Comply with all safety rules and regulations, GMPs, and all DrinkPAK’s policies and procedures.
  • Ensure regular and predictable attendance; occasional nights and weekends may be required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably as a Generalist or Business Partner in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Workday required; back‑end configuration of Workday is a huge plus.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred but not required.
  • Continuous improvement and solutions‑driven mindset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Well‑organized, detail‑oriented, and strong ability to multi‑task.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a start‑up environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on thorough documentation.
  • Experience with human resources processes such as goal setting, performance reviews, talent planning, succession planning, open enrollment, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience in developing and administering human resource processes and programs.
  • Strong understanding of compliance with government laws and regulations.
  • Basic working knowledge of payroll processing and time & attendance regulations.
  • Willingness to take on any task to support the needs and growth of the company.
  • Willingness to travel to other DrinkPAK locations within Los Angeles & Ventura County to provide onsite support and HR office hours.

Work Conditions

The role requires frequent communication in person, via video conferencing, and telephonically. It involves reaching with hands and arms, occasional standing and walking, and generally sitting.
