Description & Requirements
How you will contribute:
- Use metrics, trends, and industry knowledge to guide the Regional HRBP and Market Managing Partner
- Provide leadership in employee engagement/satisfaction processes
- Participate in the development of Regional HR strategies and lead implementation within markets, as well as help manage the execution of various programs and initiatives
- Advise management and employees on employee relations issues, identify trends, and help develop appropriate solutions
- Ensure employee relations processes support the firm's culture and minimize firm risk, including addressing performance issues, advising on disciplinary procedures, and participating in counsel-out discussions
- Managing the exit interview process, analyzing data for trends, and recommending appropriate solutions to regional leaders
- Support re-recruitment and retention efforts in the region
- Monitor documentation of performance issues
- Communicate separation information with departing employees and ensure separation paperwork is complete
- Provide coaching and support to managers to ensure the successful application of the firm performance enrichment process
- Support partners and managers in staff coaching and development responsibilities
- Use key manager and staff metrics to facilitate performance and succession discussions
- Ensure HR policies and practices are applied consistently and appropriately within the market
- Facilitate the implementation of new HR policies and procedures
- Refer questions or concerns regarding policy interpretation, benefits, and other general inquiries to the HR Service Center and follow up as needed
- Follow up with HR department staff as needed to ensure resolution of issues
- Ensure proper handling of situations to maintain compliance with federal and state employment laws and reduce liability
- Partner with the Total Rewards team to ensure clarity and consistency with pay and rewards practices
- Promote special programs within the market
- Assist Benefit Administrators with open enrollment and special programs

Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Human Resources, HR Development, or related field of study
- Knowledge of employment laws and best practices or the ability to gain this knowledge quickly and efficiently
- 5 years of experience in an exempt-level HR position
- Frequent travel between Irvine, Los Angeles, San Jose, CA and Phoenix, AZ offices required
Preferred Qualifications:
- HR experience in a professional services environment
- Knowledge of California Employment Law
- SHRM and/or HRCI certification
