Genie Matthews and Associates is seeking an on-site HR Business Partner for a consumer products manufacturing site in the Pittsburgh region. You will partner with plant management and work closely with hourly and salaried staff to align HR strategies with operations.

The role offers a path to broader HR oversight across multiple sites and requires strong labor relations, recruiting, and compliance capabilities on-site in Oakmont, PA.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years in HR within manufacturing or warehousing.
• Union environment experience preferred; strong candidates without it who can learn will be considered.
• Able to handle sensitive employee matters independently and escalate when warranted.
• Builds trust with staff from the floor to the front office.

Overview

A multi-site consumer goods manufacturer needs an on-site HR lead for one of its smaller plants in the Pittsburgh region. The parent organization runs several facilities across the country, and this person would be the go-to HR resource at this location, partnering with plant management and spending real time with hourly and salaried staff.

The company sees this as a stepping stone. The long‑term plan is for this role to grow into HR oversight across more than one site.

What the Job Involves

• Act as the single point of HR contact for a plant of roughly 80 employees


• Coach plant leaders through employee relations issues, performance conversations, and conflict


• Work alongside corporate HR on union grievances and labor relations


• Drive site-level recruiting, onboarding, and retention


• Keep the site in line with employment law and company policy

What They Need
