Pay Range: $55,000 - $68,000

Oxford Casino Hotel, located in Oxford, Maine, is indeed part of Churchill Downs Incorporated and has seen significant growth since it opened in 2012. The casino boasts a variety of gaming options for our visitors, including 23 table games and over 900 of the latest and most popular slot machines. The property also features 2 restaurants, the Ox Pub, and the Oxford Express, and a 107-room hotel which includes 6 well-appointed suites.

JOB SUMMARY

The HR Generalist is responsible for aligning business objectives with employeesand management in designated business units to promote equity, fair treatment, and positive TeamMember relations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides HR support for all departments in areas including employee relations; recruiting, selection,and onboarding; implementation and administration of human resources programs and employmentpolicies; personnel recordkeeping; workforce development; and compliances with HR laws and
    regulations
  • Participates in the development and execution of recruiting strategies for the entire organization (i.e., may develop, create, and oversee job posting content)
  • Collaborates with senior management to develop and implement HR strategies that support theproperty’s business objectives, including talent acquisition, retention, and success planning
  • Acts as a resource for managers and employees to ensure understanding and compliance of HRpolicies, provide guidance and support on employee relations issues, and offer methods of conflictresolution
  • Provides support to employees in various HR-related topics including data entry, collection ofpaperwork, etc.
  • Assists team members and managers regarding general issues pertaining to benefits, terminations,policy interpretation, and other HR products and deliverables
  • Maintains and analyzes internal HR databases to identify trends and measure key performanceindicators
  • Provides ongoing staffing/turnover metrics and makes recommendations to management forcontinuous improvement of the organization based on data collection (i.e., analysis of exit interviewdata to improve retention)
  • Partners with employees and management to interpret HR policies, procedures, and legalrequirements, and communicates changes to employees as needed
  • Participates in the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives to foster apositive work environment and promote a culture of inclusion and belonging
  • Performs other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices,federal and state employment laws, employee and union relations, etc.

  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications,compensation practices, and the related administrative practices
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related field
  • Three to five years of human resources experience
  • Must obtain valid gaming license, where applicable
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
  • The employee will be required to sit for extended periods of time.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may also be required to stand; walk; use handsto finger reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb orbalance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
  • The employee may be asked to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
  • The employee may be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
  • The employee may be exposed to smoke when on the floor of the gaming room.

PAY RANGE

$55,000 - $68,000
