Job summary

Specialty Dental Brands (SDB) is seeking an HR Business Partner to build strong relationships with regional leaders, Practice Managers, Office Managers, and local leadership teams. You’ll be the trusted HR voice handling everyday people matters and guiding managers through employee conversations and performance concerns.

Travel will be 30% based on business needs. The role supports performance management, investigations, engagement, retention, and culture across SDB’s pediatric dentistry,

Qualifications

• 3–5 years progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years of Strategic HR Business Partner experience.
• Experience supporting a multi-site organization across multiple states is highly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; PHR or SHRM-CP is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build strong, trusted relationships with managers and operational leaders
• Coach managers through employee conversations, performance concerns, and day-to-day people decisions
• Support performance management, corrective action, and employee documentation
• Help leaders navigate employee relations concerns and workplace conflict
• Conduct or support employee investigations in partnership with Employee Relations
• Partner with leaders on employee engagement, retention, and team morale
• Help identify opportunities to strengthen workplace culture
• Support leaders and employees through organizational changes
• Provide guidance on HR policies and applying them consistently and fairly
• Collaborate with Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Payroll, HR Operations, and other partners across SDB
• Look at workforce trends and translate insights into practical steps
• Support HR programs, leadership development initiatives, and other people-focused projects

What You'll Do:

As an HR Business Partner, you’ll work closely with regional leaders, Practice Managers, Office Managers, and local leadership teams. You’ll be a go-to HR partner for the everyday people matters that come with leading a great team.

You'll Spend Your Time:

• Building strong, trusted relationships with managers and operational leaders

• Providing guidance on HR policies and helping ensure they are applied consistently and fairly
• Collaborating with Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Payroll, HR Operations, and other partners across SDB
• Looking at workforce trends and helping leaders turn those insights into practical next steps
• Supporting HR programs, leadership development initiatives, and other people-focused projects

Requirements

• 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years of Strategic HR Business Partner experience; experience in HR Generalist or Employee Relations-focused roles is preferred.
• Experience supporting a multi-site organization across multiple states is highly preferred.
• Experience supporting managers with employee relations and performance management
• Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
• Experience with corrective action, employee documentation, and workplace investigations
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Good judgment and the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally
• A practical, solutions-focused approach to HR
• The ability to balance multiple priorities in a growing, fast-paced environment
• Experience supporting multiple locations or field-based teams is a plus
• A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus, but not required
