Vomela Company in Elk Grove Village, IL seeks an experienced HR leader to guide a full HR team in delivering strategic workforce solutions for a manufacturing environment. You will lead talent acquisition, employee relations, training, compliance, and culture initiatives to support growth.

The role requires a Master’s degree in HR or related field with 5–10 years of HR leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing or printing, and travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the Human Resources team and drive continuous improvement of HR processes.
• Oversee full cycle recruitment including proactive sourcing, screening and selection.
• Manage employee relations issues, coaching managers and staff as needed.
• Design and deliver HR training on performance, harassment and diversity.
• Ensure legal compliance and reduce organizational risk.
• Support culture development and tools for new hires and promotions.
• Communicate expectations and development plans for the HR team.
• Travel up to 30%.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Range: $95,000 + DOE

Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing leadership to the Human Resources team and ensuring continuous improvement within team and processes.

What You'll Do...

• Manages full cycle recruitment including proactive recruiting, candidate screening and selection.
• Manages employee relations issues (terminations, performance issues, conflicts, complaints, coaching, etc.). Coaches employees and/or managers as needed regarding employee relations issues.
• Designs, develops and delivers HR related training to business partners on topics such as performance management, sexual harassment, managing a diverse workforce.
• Partners with management to ensure compliance with applicable laws to help reduce undue exposure and risk.
• Helps drive the discussion, the shaping, and the advancement of the desired culture.
• Partners with managers on ensuring all new hires and newly promoted are provided with the appropriate tools and knowledge to create success.
• Communicates expectations, work direction and professional development for the team
• Travel up to 30%
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Master’s degree in business administration, human resources or organizational development preferred and 5-10 years of experience in a human resources role
• Experience within a manufacturing or printing company preferred and proven success in a management role.
• Strong technical skills and prior experience working in a multi-state, multi-location environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Effectively manage and communicate information across a network of companies.
• Partner with managers with a customer service orientation
• Professional demeanor and character, proactive and able to take initiative
• Prioritize and complete tasks as a team player while delivering results
• Objectively coach employees and managers through difficult situations with appropriate documentation
