Job summary

Dauch Corporation is seeking an HR Business Partner to join the Forgings Human Resources team at our World Headquarters in Detroit, MI. This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities include employee relations, coaching, workforce planning, and partnering with leaders to implement people strategies. The role supports HR processes across locations and requires travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, psychology or related field; master’s preferred.
• 5+ years in HR in a global, medium to large organization; HRBP experience preferred.
• Experience in employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation, org development, or ER activities.

Job Description Summary

Dauch is looking for an HR Business Partner to join our team. This role will support the Forgings Human Resources team at our World Headquarters in Detroit, MI. This is an onsite position.

Job Description:

• Provides HR expertise in employee relations, coaching, and workforce planning for assigned functional groups and plants.
• Partners with functional leaders to understand business goals and strategic initiatives that will impact people strategies and executes plans to support.
• Supports and facilitates core HR processes between COEs such as Talent Management, Compensation, and Benefits with the different locations.
• Facilitates onboarding and offboarding activities.
• Coaches people leaders, associates, and plant HR community.
• Assists with HR compliance activities and maintains Human Resources Information Systems.
• Supports organizational change activities.
• Completes special Human Resources projects.
• Maintains confidence and keeps information confidential.
• Follows legal requirements by making sure adherence to requirements.
• Contributes to human resources and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results.
• Drives standardization and policy implementation and compliance at the different locations.
• Pulls and analyzes data to drive continuous improvement in the different HR-related metrics.
• All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or Psychology, or related field. Master's Degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in an HR related capacity working in a global, medium to large organization. Experience as an HR business partner preferred.
• Experience as an HR partner and/or talent acquisition, compensation, organization development and/or employee relations activities.
• Knowledge of HR principles and procedures for compensation and benefits, employee relations, and personnel information systems.
• Experience supporting plants from a regional, Business Unit, or corporate capacity.
• Customer-centric approach to support associates, leaders and others to meet business needs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite with emphasis on Excel.
• Experience with Workday or other cloud-based HRIS platforms.
• Willingness and ability to travel when needed.
