Performs intermediate skilled clerical and technical work processing documents and preparing and maintaining personnel and related records and files of a confidential nature for the Executive Director of Human Resources and the Human Resources Office; does related work as required. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Executive for Human Resources.

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from a two year college or community college with course work in office management or secretarial science and extensive, increasingly responsible experience in administrative work. Basic Human Resources experience helpful.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently on assigned tasks, as well as to accept direction on given assignments. Able to work collectively with the administrative team associates. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including word processing and spreadsheets; experience with database applications.
Work is typically performed in an office setting with extended periods of time at a phone and computer terminal. Occasional visits to off-site school and City locations are required. Frequent telephonic and personal contact with Department Heads, Principals, applicants, internal and external organizations at City and State levels, employees and the general public is required. Primarily temperature-controlled and clean office environment.
