Duties
- You will independently process standard personnel actions necessary to process military members for assignment, enlistment, reenlistment, promotion, awards, performance evaluation, routine boards, separation, or similar matters.
- You will identify and correct inaccurate data in personnel systems and verify that corrective personnel actions are taken.
- You will interpret policy and data to respond to inquiries pertaining to military personnel actions including entitlements, benefits, and eligibility for various Navy programs.
- You will provide customer service in person, by telephone, and email and complete correspondence (answer written inquiries, prepare letters to obtain missing information, etc.).

Qualifications
GS-05:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Examining, evaluating and extracting information needed to process a variety of personnel actions for all categories of personnel; 2) Maintaining, formatting, and verifying content and use of personnel records; 3) Utilizing personnel databases to research, update, and process personnel actions; and 4) Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all levels of personnel, to include managers and offices of higher authority.
GS-04:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of generalized experience demonstrating progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position.

GS-05:
Successful completion of at least four full academic years of education above high school
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience
GS-04:
Successful completion of at least two full academic years of education above high school
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience
