Base pay range

$52,414.00/yr - $68,135.00/yr

Duties
  1. You will schedule, administer, score and transmit the officer tests to the appropriate commands.
  2. You will schedule exams and appointments such as processing, physicals, physical readiness, interviews, testing, enlistments, etc.
  3. You will review forms, documentation and other related information submitted by prospective officer candidates.
  4. You will prepare service records from enlistment and commissioning paperwork.
Requirements
Conditions of Employment
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Visit e-verify.gov for details.
  • Current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level (time-in-grade requirement).
  • Retired military members applying within 180 days of retirement are subject to 5 U.S. Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will need to obtain and maintain a security clearance prior to duty; failure may result in withdrawal of the job offer.
Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 level, including:

  • Knowledge of military policies, procedures, rules, and regulations for maintaining personnel records.
  • Researching military records and databases to respond to HR inquiries.
  • Using automated systems to create and maintain military records.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Additional vacancies may be filled. A tentative offer may be rescinded if pre-employment requirements are not met.
