Job summary

Covenant Living of Florida is seeking an HR Assistant in Plantation, FL to support the Human Resources team with onboarding, data entry, and policy compliance. The role collaborates with Talent Acquisition and campus HR procedures to ensure smooth operations and employee engagement.

The ideal candidate will have an Associates degree and 2+ years of office experience, with HR exposure preferred. The position offers a benefits package including health insurance and 403(b) with employer match.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring compliance with state and federal employment regulations and company policies.
• Assist with recruiting activities in partnership with Talent Acquisition.
• Assist in employee orientation and onboarding processes.
• Respond to routine HR questions and inquiries.
• Maintain and update data in the HRIS system.
• Enter new employee data and routine changes as needed.
• Support orientation of new managers to the system and direct them to e-training.
• Prepare and maintain employee records and files.
• Maintain complete, orderly, and timely employee records.
• Help plan campus recognition programs and employee events as requested.
• Flag non-compliance issues to HR lead.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the compliance of state and federal employment regulations as well as corporate policies and campus HR procedures and practices.
• Assist with recruiting activities, in partnership with Talent Acquisition Team.
• Assist in employee orientation.
• Respond to routine questions and inquiries.
• Maintain data in the computerized human resource system (HRIS).
• Enter new employee data and some routine data/changes as needed.
• Assist in the orientation of new managers/supervisors to the system and direct them to the e-training.
• Confidentially prepare and maintain all employee records and files.
• Maintain complete, orderly, and timely employee records and files.
• Assist in the planning and implementation of a campus recognition program, and employee activities, such as employee recognition, Christmas parties, and other events as requested.
• Alert HR lead of any observed non-compliance with regulation relating to human resource functions.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

• Preferred Degree: Associates degree in related field.
• Experience: 2+ years of office experience preferred.
• 1+ year of human resources experience highly preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good initiative on routine responsibilities.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Compensation Pay Range: $17.17 - $22.86 per hour

Reasonable Pay Estimate A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $17.17 - $22.86 per hour. There are numerous factors taken into consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and external equity.
