The Human Resources Assistant provides varied, complex, and confidential administrative assistance to the Director of Human Resources and Recruiting. This position serves all employee needs as it pertains to employment, employee relations, benefits, and record keeping by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Summary:
- Updates all employee information in HRIS, ensuring that employee changes are entered correctly and timely.
- Reviews and ensures accuracy of approved PTO; tracks and deducts all garnishments and other scheduled payroll deductions.
- Creates and maintains employee files and all documentation.
- On boards new hires; including email correspondences, electronic documents and screenings.
- Runs monthly reports, such as the employee birthday list, employee anniversary list, etc.
- Provides supporting documentation for unemployment claims to third party administrator.
- Assists with application screening and processing in the ATS system.
- Assists with employee appreciation and recognition events, such as preparing Employee awards, photos, and any celebrations.
- Creates employee communication flyers. employee newsletter and assists with any staff emails.
- Performs special projects assigned by Director of Human Resources & Recruiting.
Other Functions:
- Maintains current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments, and applicable laws regarding human resources and payroll administration.
- Ensures that the company adheres to record keeping methods that meet the requirements of auditors and government agencies.
- Orders various supplies and products for employee recognition/appreciation programs.
- Updates compliance posters throughout property as needed.
- Maintains absolute confidentiality and integrity of all Human Resources functions.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Complete and pass Fair Housing Test
