Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking an on-site Human Resource Manager for our Jackson, TN Distribution Center. You will lead HR functions spanning recruiting, onboarding, compensation, employee relations, training, and development, while partnering with leadership to implement standardized policies and best practices.

You will promote a safety- and quality-focused culture, advise on HR issues, manage investigations, and track KPIs to guide decisions that enhance retention and growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field.
  • 5+ years HR management experience in distribution/manufacturing.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and timekeeping tools.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support HR functions for the Distribution Center (recruiting, onboarding, compensation, employee relations, training, and development).
  • Collaborate with Sr. HR Manager to standardize policies and practices.
  • Foster a safety-focused, productive employee culture and engagement.
  • Advise employees and leaders on HR issues and resolve relations matters.
  • Drive data-driven HR decisions using KPIs and reports.

The Job:

As a Human Resource Manager, you’ll be part of our Distribution Center team working as an on-site employee. You’ll get to:

  • Manage and support all HR functions for the Distribution Center such as recruiting, onboarding, compensation, employee relations, training, and development.
  • Work with the Sr. HR Manager to standardize and implement new policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Create and promote an employee-oriented culture that strives on safety, quality, continuous improvement, and productivity.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders on HR-related issues.
  • Handle employee relations issues, investigations, and administer disciplinary action.
  • Develop and execute initiatives to boost employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular surveys and feedback sessions, and create action plans.
  • Apply strategic talent management solutions to continuously improve talent retention, assessment, development, and career/professional growth.
  • Track KPIs and metrics and present regular reports.
  • Use data-driven insights to drive HR and operational decision making.
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Reinforces and advocates for Open Door Policy across the leadership team.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • 5+ years experience in HR Management in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer and systems knowledge (Microsoft Office, Workday/HRIS, UKG/timekeeping).
  • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is a plus.

Salary:

The Salary range for this position is $69,900.00 - $112,500.00

This is the lowest to highest annual full-time salary range we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.

The salary offered within the range may vary depending on multiple factors including job level, geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and in compliance with local wage requirements.
