Job summary

HEXPOL Compounding Americas seeks an experienced HR Manager to develop, coordinate and administer all HR processes in our Whitewater, Wisconsin location. You will oversee recruitment, onboarding, benefits, payroll, and employee relations to support our strategic objectives.

This role requires seven years of leadership in HR, strong communication, confidentiality, and a track record in manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

  • Seven years of leadership experience in HR, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Admin or related field.
  • SPHR/PHR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage recruitment, selection process and new hire orientation for all Associates.
  • Respond to Associate inquiries and advise/mentor Management on issues.
  • Counsel Associates on job-related issues, policies, and disciplinary actions.
  • Provide final payroll approval using HRIS and ADP timekeeping systems.
  • Administer Benefit Programs and Open Enrollment meetings.
  • Coordinate Associate Relations events to promote morale and relations.
  • Work with EH&S Manager on Workers' Comp and OSHA safety needs.
  • Prepare reports/data for management and ISO audits.
  • Prepare communications to keep Associates informed.
  • Travel to other HEXPOL locations may be required.
  • Supervise HR department personnel, if applicable.

Overview

To develop, coordinate and administer all Human Resources processes, policies, and procedures. To ensure effective programs in support of the strategic business objectives of HEXPOL.

Responsibilities
  • Manage recruitment, selection process and new hire orientation for all Associates.
  • Respond to Associate inquiries and advise/mentor Management to appropriate resolution of Associate-related issues.
  • Counsel Associates regarding job-related issues, policies, procedures, and disciplinary actions including terminations.
  • Provide final approval of bi-weekly payroll utilizing HRIS and AOD/ADP timekeeping systems.
  • Administer Benefit Programs conducting Open Enrollment meetings and assisting Associates.
  • Coordinate Associate Relations Events/Programs to promote Associate morale, motivation, and foster relationships.
  • Work directly with Environmental Health and Safety Manager or designee on Workers' Compensation, OSHA Safety needs.
  • Prepare various internal and external reports/data as requested by Management and represent Human Resources for internal external ISO audits.
  • Prepare various communications to keep Associates informed of relevant information.
  • Participate in relevant training opportunities to maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation.
  • Supervise the personnel of the Human Resource department, if applicable.
  • Travel to other HEXPOL locations may be required.
  • Perform any other project/task as assigned by Management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration, Management. Experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • SPHR or PHR and/or SHRM-CP Certificate, preferred.
  • Seven (7) years of leadership experience in Human Resource position, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to handle personal and confidential information.
  • Proficient written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer/systems skills - MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook).
  • Solid organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and manage a broad range of responsibilities.
  • High degree of concentration, attention to detail, high energy, self-motivated and self-reliant.
  • Ability to manage, coach and develop Associates.
  • Ability to interact well with all personality types in a leadership role.
  • Strong cooperation, collaboration, and team-building skills.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills with an emphasis on continuous improvement.
