Redline Plastics in Manitowoc, Wisconsin is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead our HR functions on a fast-moving manufacturing floor.

You will partner with leadership to recruit and retain top talent, administer pay and benefits, ensure policy compliance, and create development programs that grow our workforce while maintaining high integrity and confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Business or HR or related field.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred but not required.
  • 3–5 years HR experience in manufacturing or industrial setting.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership to implement HR strategy including talent planning.
  • Support HR team with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring for managerial and professional roles.
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs and monitor market trends.
  • Develop learning and development initiatives for employee growth.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality and act with integrity in sensitive matters.

The Human Resources Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES And RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Provides support and guidance to HR Business Partners, Safety Coordinator, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in Business or Human Resources is preferred. Certifications: PHR or SHRM-CP preferred but not required Experience and/or Training: 3 to 5 years of Human Resources experience preferred
Physical And Mental Demands
  • This is an office-based position however will need to be willing to be on the manufacturing floor to support employees
  • 25 lbs. occasional lifting
  • Manual dexterity is required to perform normal day to day functions
  • Required to sit and frequently stand and walk
  • Occasionally required to reach above shoulders, climb or balance, stoop, kneel or crouch
  • Must demonstrate patience in order to successfully work through frustrating challenges and always present oneself in a calm professional manner
  • Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment

Working Environment
While this is largely an office-based position, exposure to plant conditions will frequently happen. The plant environment is climate controlled and may include on occasion, exposure to heat, cold, noise and odors. Personal protective equipment is required in appropriate areas.
