Job summary

Steel Fabricators, LLC in Florida is seeking an experienced HR professional to manage staffing, recruitment, orientation, and employee development. The role oversees payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

Bi-lingual English/Spanish is desirable, and the candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field with at least five years of experience, plus proficiency with HR software and certification (PHR/SPHR

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field plus a minimum of 5 years of human resource experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to operate various types of HR software.
  • Good communication skills; verbal and written.
  • Ability to interact well with employees & vendors on all levels.
  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish desirable but not required.
  • The employee is required to be present in the office during normal work hours to be available for one-on-one and group interactions with employees. This role also may require flexibility to work occasionally early morning or late evening hours as needed to support business operations and employee engagement

Responsibilities

  • Maintain staffing levels consistent with entity objectives. Recruit, interview, and select employees to fill vacant positions.
  • Plan and coordinate new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
  • Assess departmental needs and organizational planning and development; evaluate structure, job design and manpower forecasting.
  • Plan, organize, and control all activities of the department and participate in developing departmental goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Revise position descriptions as necessary; monitor performance evaluation/review processes.
  • Oversee payroll processing, benefits administration, and employee relations functions.
  • Compile and analyze data (turnover, absenteeism) and develop programs to address concerns.
  • Engage with outside suppliers to provide employee services such as temporary labor.
  • Develop Employee Relations by counseling employees and managers on issues.
  • Ensure compliance in recordkeeping and reporting per policies, laws and regulations (I-9, workers comp, return to work, safety).
  • Develop and maintainDOT Driver certification program for site.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned by GM.

Job Description

Work environment:

General office and constant exposure to computer display. Occasional interaction with production employees in the fabrication facility. Occasional travel for training, job fairs, etc.
