Responsibilities
1. HR Infrastructure & Compliance
- Entity & System Setup: Implement and manage localized HRIS platforms (e.g., Lark, ADP) to ensure seamless payroll administration, tax compliance, and accurate data management.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Establish and maintain the employee handbook; ensure all company practices strictly adhere to federal, state, and local labor laws (FLSA, FMLA, state-specific mandates).
- Total Rewards Strategy: Design and execute competitive compensation plans and comprehensive health, dental, vision, and wellness benefits packages.
2. Talent Acquisition & Employee Enablement
- Full-Cycle Recruiting: Collaborate with internal hiring managers to source, screen, and secure top talent for critical US roles, driving successful headcount growth.
- Onboarding & Culture: Design and facilitate a seamless onboarding journey that integrates new hires into the company culture while fostering high local engagement.
- Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries, performance management guidance, and workplace culture initiatives.
3. Workplace Operations & Administration
- Office & Facility Management: Oversee day-to-day office logistics, space planning, administrative procurement, corporate insurance, and workplace safety protocols.
- Vendor Management: Select and coordinate with external vendors, IT support partners, and local service providers to maintain lean, efficient, and cost-effective operations.
- Internal Alignment: Facilitate smooth communication flows across local teams and leadership to ensure operational transparency and strategic unity.
Qualifications
- Experience: 4–6+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally with a background as an HRBP, HR Manager, or HR Generalist in a fast-paced, scaling organization or startup environment.
- The "Builder" Mindset: Exceptional ability to work autonomously and drive results independently. You thrive on taking full ownership of a function and running a tight ship.
- Functional Expertise: Deep practical knowledge of US employment law, benefits administration, payroll systems, and general business administration.
- Communication Skills: Superior interpersonal and communication skills; adept at navigating ambiguity, problem-solving, and aligning diverse stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications (SHRM-CP/PHR) are highly valued
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry Experience: Prior experience working in a fast-growing startup, technology firm, or international/cross-border company expanding into the US market.
- 0-to-1 Track Record: Proven experience establishing a brand-new office or entity, including setting up HRIS systems and office infrastructure from scratch.
- Professional Certification: Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHRis highly preferred.
- Bilingual Skills: Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese preferred (verbal and written)
- Tech-Savviness: Advanced proficiency with modern HR tech stacks and workforce platforms (e.g., ADP, Greenhouse, Lark, and Microsoft 365/Windows environments)

The Company reserves the right to modify or change these benefits programs at any time, with or without notice.
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $81,000 - $120,000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role is eligible for additional discretionary bonuses.
