Job summary

FastTek Global is seeking an Indiana-based HR Generalist (Employment) to support hourly bargaining unit employees and ensure smooth manufacturing operations. You will administer employment office functions, manage onboarding, and support workforce analytics to meet contractual obligations and policies.

Key responsibilities include handling leave tracking, records, and employee inquiries, driving engagement initiatives, and assisting with union agreement administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1+ years of HR or related experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong follow-up, problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
• Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends.
• Experience with HR systems such as Workday is not required; other systems can be taught.

Responsibilities

As an HR Generalist in Employment, you will play a key role in our ability to deliver what we promise to our customers. As an HR Generalist, you will assist in ensuring a smooth and efficient Manufacturing operation by providing employment support for Hourly Bargaining Unit employees to guarantee a great employee experience.

Responsibilities of this role

• Administer the hourly employment office functions and processes, assist with workforce analysis, deployment and people power management based on contractual obligations and corporate policies
• Manage the day-to-day Employment window functions: leave tracking, reinstatements, general employee questions and support, records management, etc.
• Implement the onboarding orientation sessions for the HBU workforce
• Support the implementation and execution of our lean manufacturing methodology
• Drive a positive workplace culture by supporting plant employee engagement initiatives
• Assist with the administration of the national and local collective bargaining agreements

Key experiences and know-how

• Employment/Labor Relations/Manufacturing experience
• Utilize lean manufacturing tools in the context of employee development
• Analyze and utilize data to make decisions
• Experience with managing conflict and having difficult conversations
• Demonstrated ability to be approachable, able to communicate with all levels of employees, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 1 years of experience in Human Resources or related field
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong follow up, problem solving and conflict resolution skillsAbility to work variable shifts, including weekends
• Prior experience with specific HR systems such as Workday is not required, but proficiency with Microsoft Office is preferred and other systems can be taught.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
• Able to interact with all levels of management and Union officials to accomplish goals
• Manufacturing experience is highly desirable
