Job summary

Pinnacle Precision Metal is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to manage day-to-day HR operations in our Anaheim, CA office. The role covers recruitment, onboarding, benefits, HRIS maintenance, payroll support, and compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in HR or related field, at least five years of HR experience (manufacturing preferred), and solid knowledge of ADP Workforce Now. This on-site role offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Role Purpose

The Human Resources Generalist supports the day-to-day administration of Human Resources programs and serves as a trusted resource for employees and managers. This position is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, HRIS maintenance, employee records, compliance, reporting, and supporting payroll administration while helping ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.


The HR Generalist partners closely with the Director of Human Resources to support business objectives and promotes positive employee experience.


Key Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition


  • Coordinate full-cycle recruitment for exempt and non-exempt positions.

  • Source candidates through online job boards, social media, employee referrals, staffing agencies, and other recruiting resources.

  • Coordinate interviews and communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process.

  • Prepare and extend employment offers.

  • Coordinate pre-employment activities, including background checks, employment eligibility verification (Form I-9/E-Verify), and other job-related screening processes in compliance with applicable laws.


Temporary Workforce Administration


  • Coordinate with staffing agencies regarding temporary staffing needs.

  • Review and reconcile temporary employee time records.

  • Assist with temporary employee conversions and assignment completions.

  • Maintain accurate records related to temporary workforce administration.


Onboarding and Employee Records


  • Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding.

  • Prepare new hire documentation and maintain personnel records.

  • Maintain HRIS records and employee files in accordance with company policy and applicable record retention requirements.

  • Process employee status changes, transfers, promotions, and separations.


Payroll Administration


  • Assist with timekeeping administration and resolve timecard discrepancies.

  • Support payroll processing by entering approved personnel changes, paid time off, and other payroll-related information into the HRIS for weekly and bi-weekly payroll cycle.

  • Coordinate with leadership to ensure accurate employee information.


Benefits Administration


  • Administer employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, COBRA, and retirement plans.

  • Coordinate benefit enrollments, qualifying life event changes, and terminations.

  • Assist employees with benefit-related questions and resources.

  • Support annual Open Enrollment activities.


HR Administration


  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.

  • Prepare recurring HR reports and metrics.

  • Assist with HR audits and compliance initiatives.

  • Support the Director of Human Resources with special projects, strategic initiatives and provide administrative support.


Employee Relations and Compliance


  • Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.

  • Support workers' compensation administration and return-to-work coordination.

  • Coordinate employee training and compliance programs.

  • Maintain working knowledge of applicable federal, California, and local employment laws and assist in ensuring organizational compliance.


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, professional certification, and relevant experience.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Experience using HRIS systems; ADP Workforce Now experience is highly preferred.

  • Working knowledge of California employment laws, wage and hour requirements, leave administration, and applicable federal employment laws.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing fast-paced environment.

  • Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR).
