Plastpro 2000 Inc. is seeking a Plant Human Resources Coordinator to handle daily HR administration at the plant site.

You will support recruitment, on-boarding, payroll processing and HRIS data management while ensuring confidentiality and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include processing hourly hires/terminations, maintaining files, communicating HR programs, and coordinating benefit and safety processes.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or 1–3 years related HR experience.
  • Intermediate MS Office; HRIS experience preferred.
  • Ability to read safety rules and write routine reports.
  • Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and support recruitment and job postings, resume reviews, phone screens and reference checks.
  • Process hourly new hires and terminations; support onboarding and exit interviews.
  • Handle PAFs for hourly staff and input data into HRIS with accuracy.
  • Explain HR programs such as salary, benefits, and employee relations.
  • Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis using AS400 and ADP systems.
  • Maintain organized HR files, confidentiality, and THM/Safety policy compliance.

SUMMARYThe Plant Human Resources Coordinator performs the day-to-day administration of the plant Human Resource Department to ensure efficient completion of HR-related tasks; supports, administers and coordinates corporate HR programs and initiatives at the assigned location.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssist and support the recruitment and selection process by coordinating job postings, reviewing resumes, performing phone screens and reference checks.Process all hourly new hires and terminations, including preparation of employee files and notification to Payroll; provide support for on-boarding activities, and coordinate exit interviews for terminated employees.Process personnel action forms (PAFs) for hourly employees, ensure proper approvals, and input accurate data into the HRIS system.Answer employee questions and explain company HR programs such as recruitment and placement, salary and benefit administration, and employee relations.Change and verify address/telephone changes for hourly employees.Process claims and related forms for statutory benefits (STD, WC, and UnemploymentInsurance) for hourly employees.Prepare time cards for hourly staff upon hire and upon periodic expirations of existingcards; issue office electronic access cards, replace lost cards, and accept returnedcards from terminating employees.Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis (to include verifying hours worked in AS400 andADP), review and verify payroll batch data and obtain final approvals to complete payrollin timely manner.Type, duplicate, fax and file letters, job descriptions, policies, forms, memoranda, etc.Maintain organized and accurate files and documentation for all hourly employees to ensure confidentiality and compliance with applicable legal requirements.Maintain designated work spaces in a clean, safe and timely manner in compliance with the plants THM/Safety policy.Participate in webinars, seminars and other job-related training opportunities.Support, administer and coordinate corporate HR programs and initiatives at assigned location.Assist with projects and other job-related duties as directed.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. HRIS experience preferred.LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
