A leading state agency is seeking a Human Resource Consultant 2 to provide professional HR consultation and support. Location: Lewis County - Chehalis, WA. (This position primarily teleworks but periodic in-office presence is required for meetings, trainings, and other business needs).

Salary:$4,740.00 - $6,384.00 Monthly

The Opportunity:
This position contributes to the agency’s mission to protect children and strengthen families by providing independent professional Human Resource (HR) consultation and advice within an assigned region(s) or functional areas. This position has primary responsibility to consult with and provide assistance to managers, supervisors, and employees regarding human resource issues including Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) policies, procedures, Civil Service laws (WAC), Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and laws, rules, and regulations pertaining to protective leave, to include Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Paid Family Medical Leave (PFML), pregnancy disability, domestic violence leave, and military leave.

Required Qualifications:
*Education must be with an emphasis on business or public administration, human resources, social or organizational behavioral sciences, or a related field from an accredited college or university whose accreditation is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
