S&C Electric Company, a 100% employee-owned company, offers a Summer 2027 Full-Time Internship in Human Resources. The role provides hands-on exposure to employee relations, talent management, workforce analytics, and HR operations within a manufacturing and corporate setting.

You will partner with HR Business Partners to support initiatives and learn strategic HR practices. The position emphasizes collaboration, confidentiality, and a pathway to long-term careers in HR, with a 1st shift

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Development, Industrial Relations or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Full-Time Summer 2027 Internship

S&C's Human Resources organization provides internal customers with a wide range of services as we strive to attract, develop and retain the best employee team in the industry. The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) Intern will support the HRBP team in delivering HR programs and services that align with business objectives and enhance the employee experience. This internship provides hands‑on exposure to employee relations, talent management, workforce analytics, organizational development, performance management, and HR operations within a manufacturing and corporate environment.

The intern will partner with HR Business Partners and cross‑functional stakeholders to assist with key initiatives while developing a foundational understanding of strategic human resources practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist HRBPs in supporting leaders and employees.


• Support workforce analytics, reporting and presentations.


• Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence and maintain confidentiality.


• Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules


• Assist with performance management processes and documentation.


• Support talent review and succession planning activities.


• Assist in the development of employment-related policies and practices


• Compile and analyze HR metrics (Headcount, Turnover, Attrition, Workforce Planning, Team Member Engagement)


• Assist team members with questions or concerns around career development, policies or leadership, or issues with fellow team members


• Assist with employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs.


• Support investigations by maintaining documentation and tracking action items.


• Help coordinate employee communication efforts.


• Participate in onboarding and orientation activities.


• Partner with Talent Acquisition to support hiring activities.


• Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and improve efficiency.


• Assist with documentation of HR procedures and best practices.


• Participate in cross‑functional HR projects and continuous improvement efforts.


• Participate in HR projects as requested


• Maintain regular and punctual attendance


• Attend in-person or virtual meetings as requested or required


• Communicate effectively and respectfully with others


• Other responsibilities as assigned

Required

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Development, Industrial Relations or related field.

Preferred

• Previous internship, leadership, campus organization, or work experience

• Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI or HR Systems

MAJOR PHYSICAL DEMANDS
