THE POSITION
Join the Department of Corrections, Field Human Resource Office 2 as a Human Resource Analyst 2 to play a key role in supporting fair and clear employee relations. This position allows you to guide supervisors and staff through important workplace matters. You will help maintain a positive environment by offering helpful advice and accurate information. Your work strengthens teamwork and ensures that employees receive the support they need.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position focuses on employee relations, contract interpretation, and supporting managers with important personnel processes. It plays an essential part in helping the facility manage workplace concerns and maintain strong communication. As a Human Resource Analyst 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Employee Relations: Provide guidance on labor agreements, workplace issues, and grievance procedures
- Case Review: Investigate disciplinary matters, assist with fact findings, and help prepare documentation
- Contract Support: Interpret contract language and offer recommendations on workplace decisions
- Record Management: Maintain personnel files and ensure documentation meets policy requirements
- Hearing Assistance: Support preparation for hearings and act as a liaison for management when needed
- Information Tracking: Gather data, prepare responses, and assist with required reporting

Work Schedule and Additional Information
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 1 to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Greene. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements
- One year as a Human Resource Analyst 1 or Equal Opportunity Specialist 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Two years of analytical experience that includes one year of professional human resource or equal opportunity experience, and a bachelor's degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
