Cherokee Town & Country Club in Atlanta, GA is hiring a full-time Human Resources Administrative Assistant and will perform administrative and support duties related to the operations of the human resources department.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HUMAN RESOURCES ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT:

  • Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees related to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc. and refer more complex questions to the appropriate HR staff member.
  • Assists with special event activities such as planning of benefits enrollment, annual safety training, employee recognition events, holiday parties and retirement celebrations.
  • Assist with onboarding materials and checklists to ensure smooth transitions for new hires, coordinate orientation logistics and support initial employee engagement activities.
  • Responsible for completing E-Verify for all new hires and re-hires, transferring employee data from onboarding to new hire status, and assign payroll badge numbers in HRIS.
  • Responsible for overseeing an employee referral program and assisting employees with enrolling in employee discount programs.
  • Responsible for distribution of DOL form 800 to all terminated employees.
  • Receives and distributes office mail for HR department.
  • May assist with preparation of human resource reports such as attendance, new hire, workers compensation, and turnover reports.
  • Files documents electronically into employee personnel files and maintains routine compliance tracking.
  • Assists with coordination and setup for all HR events.
  • Assists with distribution of policy updates and collecting employee acknowledgements.
  • Support preparation of new hire payroll related documentation to ensure accuracy.
  • Tracks employee milestones such as anniversaries and birthdays, prepare cards for distribution.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilites

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Extensive knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Ability to operate general Office equipment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to use interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence in sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to function well in a high paced and at times stressful environment with heartfelt caring and respect
  • Previous experience with HRIS systems, experience with Paylocity a plus

Education And Experience

  • Two years of administrative assistant experience in a Human Resources environment.

Physical Requiremnts

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

WORK SCHEDULE

The typical schedule for this administrative position is Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.
