Job summary

The Veterans Health Administration's HUD-VASH program pairs housing assistance with VA case management to support homeless Veterans in the community.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work from a CSWE-accredited program.
• Licensure or certification in a state to independently practice social work at the master's degree level.
• U.S. citizenship required; English proficiency to be appointed.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial services to Veterans experiencing homelessness or at risk.
• Assess psychosocial functioning and needs; formulate and implement treatment plans.
• Coordinate services with community agencies, shelters, and VA colleagues.
• Engage Veterans and families in the community or in residence settings.
• Maintain effective working relationships and communicate with clients and staff.
