Job summary

CRM Residential is seeking a Certification Specialist to stay current with HUD, state agency, and tax credit rules affecting occupancy and recertifications.

You will interact with HUD and state agencies regarding Section 8 renewals and prepare periodic reports for Tax Credit Properties, onsite staff support, and training handouts. This role requires strong organization and communication while working onsite Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong customer service skills are essential.
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a busy environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and housing software is expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for Tax Credit Properties.
• Prepare occupancy reports weekly for properties and owners.
• Review recertification move-in packages at tax credit properties.
• Create training handouts and assist in cost allocation for trainings.
• Conduct site visits to support onsite staff on occupancy and compliance.
• Attend seminars on tax credit compliance and affordable housing.
• Monitor annual recertifications and notify Regional Manager of issues.
• Correspond with owners and agencies about affordable housing.
