Job summary

The Springfield Housing Authority is seeking a File Auditor for its Rental Assistance (Section 8) office. The role audits RAO program files to ensure HUD and EOHLC compliance, with a focus on accuracy and documentation.

Qualifications

• Ability to accurately apply basic mathematical calculations for rents and payments.
• HUD and EOHLC regulations knowledge or experience with subsidized housing helpful.
• Strong attention to detail and independent work habits.

Responsibilities

• Audit RAO program files for compliance with HUD/EOHLC rules.
• Verify signatures, third-party docs, and EIV checks in files.
• Ensure SHA calculations for tenant portions and HAP payments are correct.
• Confirm move-in/annual inspections and landlord corrective actions when needed.
• Cross-check file data with SHA computer records and waitlist entries.
