Description
PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Responsible for performing highly detailed assembly of components into sub-assemblies. Using a variety of hand & power tools, fixtures, work instructions and test equipment, perform a series of operations to correctly assemble parts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned as needed.

Level I
  • Perform detailed and complicated assembly of components accurately.
  • Follow detailed assembly instructions, blueprint, processes, and procedures to position parts accurately.
  • Completes all paperwork required including clocking in/out of jobs and issuing components/hardware in ERP.
  • Utilize hand and pneumatic tools safely to complete assembly. Includes: install and remove temporary fasteners, countersink holes, deburr parts, rivet parts, install and torque bolts/nuts.
  • Report problems with quality, processes, equipment, and materials to Lead.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate assembly functions.
  • Complete visual inspections during process to detect defective material, quality of work completed and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Pack parts for shipping taking care not to damage parts.
  • Comply with safety regulations.
Level II - Additional Expectations/Responsibilities
  • Fully understand workmanship standards-PMI and customer.
  • Know how to set up / operate the Pem setters, Projection welder, and saw.
  • Work with the Quality Department on any issues.
  • Well diverse in the assembly area.
  • Can run jobs alone with no mentoring.
  • Retain the knowledge from each job.
  • Obtain efficiencies/production rates within our standards.
  • Must be able to identify and correct discrepancies with equipment or parts
  • LOTO Authorized certified
