Join to apply for the Huckleberry Deli Prep cook/busser role at Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel.

Summary: The Prep & Busing position helps provide high-quality goods and service to guests. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean work area, keeping tables and floors clean, and ensuring the deli cold case, sauces, and line items are stocked to prevent shortages.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow recipes and prepare food according to SOPs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work environment.
  • Manage cooler and freezer inventory with FIFO rotation.
  • Unload and store food efficiently, minimizing waste.
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Temperature control of food items.
  • Stock items with proper dating and rotation.
  • Operate and clean kitchen equipment.
  • Maintain logs for temperature, time, and waste.
  • Perform prep work, make sauces, and list needed prepped items.
  • Clean dining area, remove trash, sweep floors.
  • Stock the deli cold case to par levels.
  • Assist line staff with stock when busy.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 16+ years old and able to obtain a food handler's card.
  • Kitchen and bussing experience preferred.
  • Customer service skills preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and spell legibly.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Food handler's permit preferred, ability to obtain one required.
  • Customer service skills preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Strong multi-tasking and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills required.

Physical Demands: Frequent standing, handling, reaching, talking, and hearing; occasional lifting up to 40 pounds; vision requirements include close vision. Reasonable accommodations may be provided.
