Job summary

Baltimore Aircoil Company, Inc. is seeking a Hub-tex Material Handling Operator to support sheet metal fabrication. You will operate Hub-tex equipment, stage materials for production, and ensure accurate inventory while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes coordination of receipt, storage, and delivery of materials to meet production schedules and continuous improvement objectives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, warehousing, material handling, or a related industrial environment preferred.
• Prior experience operating powered industrial equipment preferred.
• Experience working in a Lean manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate Hub-tex Side Loader and Vacuum Assist Lift equipment safely and efficiently to transport, store, rotate, and deliver materials.
• Review fabrication schedules and proactively stage materials to support production requirements and takt time goals.
• Receive, store, kit, and deliver sheet steel and related materials to fabrication work centers.
• Read and interpret fabrication documents including fabrication sheets, cut plans, nesting drawings, and production schedules.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through material transactions, cycle counts, and inventory verification activities.
• Collect, identify, and properly record reusable scrap and drop materials to support material utilization efforts.
• Retrieve materials from storage areas and yard locations as required to support production schedules.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns to ensure safe operation of equipment.
