Job summary

Agropur is seeking an HTST Operator I in Jerome, ID to prepare raw milk for cheese production and to manage pasteurization, standardization, and concentration processes. You will monitor flows through equipment and ensure correct milk composition and temperatures for different cheeses.

This role includes a starting wage of $25.86 per hour, with wage increases within the first year and a shift differential plus Sunday overtime.

How your role contributes to that mission:

We are looking for an HTST Operator in Jerome, ID. The HTST Operator I is responsible for the preparation of raw milk to be used in cheese production.

• Pasteurize, standardize and condense milk in preparation for use in cheese production.
• Monitor raw milk flow into balance tank, through pasteurizing heaters, through separators to separate cream from the milk, to evaporators for condensing and then ultimately to horizontal cheese vats for use in cheese production.
• Regulate factors such as milk solids, cream fats, and temperature and make adjustments depending on the type of cheese to be produced.
