Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from a school with ABET accreditation (professional engineering curriculum).
• CCE certification or grandfathering provision eligibility as described in VA qualifications.
• GS-12 level experience with demonstrated KSAs for biomedical engineering in a health-system context.

Responsibilities

• Serve as HTM Biomedical Engineering subject-matter resource for medical technology infrastructure, planning, installation, relocation, and activation on projects.
• Translate clinical and medical equipment requirements into space, utilities, environmental, installation, and maintenance-access needs.
• Coordinate planning, design, construction, equipment installation, acceptance testing, activation, and transition to ongoing operations.
• Develop and maintain medical equipment infrastructure requirements and criteria for project planning and design.
• Provide biomedical engineering support to acquisition and contract actions for equipment and installation services.

Education

Bachelor's Degree or Higher in Engineering

ABET-accredited curriculum

Certification as a Certified Clinical Engineer (CCE)
