Job summary

JLL is seeking an HSSE Manager to lead comprehensive safety programs for our Egg Harbor Township, NJ portfolio. The role focuses on risk assessments, incident investigations, and building a strong safety culture.

You will deliver training, monitor compliance, analyze leading indicators, and coordinate emergency planning with regulators to minimize risk and liability.

Qualifications

• Must hold CSP or CIH certification.
• NJ Asbestos Supervisor certification or ability to obtain within 45 days.
• Experience managing site safety programs, training, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training programs ensuring OSHA compliance.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of facilities and coordinate corrective actions.
• Investigate workplace accidents and near-miss incidents, documenting findings and prevention strategies.
• Deliver safety training and toolbox talks to employees and contractors.
• Monitor contractor safety compliance and conduct site observations for adherence.
• Track safety metrics and analyze trends to improve programs.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness planning including evacuations and drills.

HSSE Manager - JLL

What this job involves: The HSSE Manager develops and implements comprehensive safety programs that protect employees, contractors, and building occupants while ensuring regulatory compliance across the facilities portfolio. This specialized role combines technical safety expertise with program management and training capabilities to build a strong culture of workplace safety. You’ll conduct risk assessments, investigate incidents, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance through proactive engagement and data-driven strategies. This position plays a critical role in minimizing liability, preventing accidents, and demonstrating JLL’s commitment to maintaining safe, compliant work environments.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training programs that address facility-specific hazards and ensure OSHA compliance
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of facilities, identifying potential hazards and working with operations teams to implement corrective actions
• Investigate workplace accidents and near-miss incidents, documenting findings and developing prevention strategies to address root causes
• Deliver safety training sessions and toolbox talks to employees and contractors, ensuring all personnel understand protocols and safety requirements
• Monitor contractor safety compliance, reviewing safety plans and conducting site observations to verify adherence to safety standards
• Track and analyze safety metrics including incident rates, trends, and leading indicators to measure program effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities
• Coordinate emergency preparedness planning including evacuation procedures, drills, and response protocols while serving as liaison with regulatory agencies and inspectors

Required Qualifications:

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) OR Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
• NJ Asbestos Supervisor certified or the ability to obtain within 45 days of hire.
• Experience managing site safety programs, training, and compliance.

Estimated compensation for this position:

120,000.00 – 126,505.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
