Responsibilities

Summary: Responsible for ensuring all market merchandising areas are clean and well-stocked, and providing excellent customer service.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Provides excellent customer service by answering product-related questions and assisting customers.
• Communicates preparation, safe handling, and nutritional information of products to customers as needed.
• Prepares products by scraping and tray handling.
• Weighs, wraps, and labels packages using PLU codes.
• Stocks and rotates items in market cases, on shelves, and in coolers and freezers.
• Organizes and cleans prep areas, storage, and sales floor.
• Reports missing signs or tags to the Market Manager or Shelf Edge team.
• Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Maintains safety and sanitation standards.
• Minimizes shrinkage.
• Complies with all federal, state, and company regulations regarding product freshness, food safety, and sanitation.
• Participates with a total store mindset.
• Performs cross-functional duties in other areas as assigned, with training to do at least two jobs within the store.

Qualifications

Physical and Other Requirements
