PHI Aviation, LLC is seeking an HSE Specialist in Lafayette, LA. This role involves leading the Safety Management System, supporting operations, and ensuring effective implementation of HSE programs. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of HSE experience, preferably in aviation, along with strong interpersonal and analytical capabilities.
The position requires a Bachelor's degree in an HSEQ related field. The work schedule is primarily Monday through Friday, with the possibility of weekend or night call-outs.
The HSE Specialist will embody PHI’s core values of Safe, Efficient, Quality and Service and serve as a leader in supporting operations. The employee will assist in the ongoing evaluation of performance, implementation of controls, and maintenance of a learning and just culture. The position is based in Lafayette, LA, with a schedule primarily Monday through Friday and occasional evening work. Weekend or night call‑outs may be required. Regular travel to Houma, LA (team bus or helicopter) and Galveston, TX is required and typically occurs less than 20% of the time.
The employee regularly requires sitting, using hands to finger, handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, and talking or hearing. Frequently requires standing and walking, occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
